Comic artist Jim Lee and his recent run on the Batman title inspires this Batman custom. The modern Batman custom uses a Mattel Zipline Batman figure as a starting off point. The original cowl was altered, giving Bats shorter ear-tips. The same was done with the gloves. The utility belt is entirely new using belt pouches cast from a McFarlane Metal Gear Solid figure mounted onto clear vinyl. The cape, which came from an X-Men Evolution Storm figure, was trimmed to show the scalloped points and fits perfectly snug around Batman’s shoulders.

All in all it was a pretty straightforward custom. Although it doesn’t capture the look of Jim Lee’s artwork, I felt it was still a fun variation for the shelf.
