Matt ‘Iron-Cow’ Cauley’s background lies in the visual arts. Born in Dallas in the fall of 1973, he eventually relocated to New York to attend Parson’s School of Design. Shortly after obtaining his degree in Illustration, Matt began working for Bloomberg LP as a Broadcast Designer while further developing his Illustration and Toy Design work through Iron-Cow Productions.

In 1999, Matt formed Iron-Cow Prod. LLC to better serve his illustration, animation, design, and toy production clients. It was through ICP that Matt was able to expand his creative reach. Serving as a featured contributor to ToyFare Magazine, Matt penned instructive how-to articles regarding custom toy design. Matt collaborated with Art Asylum (and later Diamond Select Toys) to design dozens of action figures and other memorabilia for such properties as DC Comics, Battlestar Galactica, Kelloggs, Marvel Comics and more. Matt further worked with Macy’s department store on a line of children’s t-shirts featuring his illustration artwork.

As a designer, Matt took on several roles while at Bloomberg LP. He initially began work as a broadcast designer, contributing news-related static and motion graphics for Bloomberg Television. His role then expanded to Senior Designer of Digital Marketing, focusing on multimedia, print and motion. He eventually became Team Leader of Bloomberg LP’s Digital Design group, and continued his development as an Art Director for UX & Design. His skills include strong graphic design, team management, project management, motion graphics, with a focus on Interactive Design, Animated and Mobile web banners, HTML email, and Digital Marketing.

Matt’s clients have included Bloomberg LP, Macy’s, Art Asylum, Diamond Select Toys, ToyFare Magazine, Wizard Entertainment, Artist Magazine, E! Entertainment Television, Charlie Rose, UBS, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, DirecTV, the USA Networks, the Irvington Institute, Safe Horizon and The Red Cross among others.

Currently Matt resides in Queens, New York with his menagerie of misfit of pets and amazingly supportive fiancé, both of whom pursue a life of visual creativity. He is now in his 7th year of Portrait Painting studies at the School of Visual Arts.

Matt’s illustration, broadcast, painting, and toy design portfolios can be seen at the official Iron-Cow Prod. website at https://www.ironcowprod.com.
